Stress Management Yoga

This class is a holistic offering of a variety of yoga styles in order to directly target stress management. Do you want to learn more about how yoga, breath work, and meditation practices mitigate stress and thereby improve memory, mood, focus, sleep cycles, cardiovascular health, brain growth, and compassion? The teacher will integrate the neuroscience behind the mental fitness, resilience building, and emotional regulation your yoga offers you, plus provide asana and pranayama to target these certain areas of growth!

This weekly class is a combination of brief opening lecture or dharma talk, followed by breath and movement practice where you’ll get to further your study of the physical, neuro-biological, and relational maintenance powers available through yoga, as well as to experience some empirically-validated practices firsthand! You’ll receive introductions to the structures of the brain, which parts do what, and the basics on the endocrine and nervous systems throughout the classes.
